Allison Mercadefe
Owner/Master Stylist
Hi! I’m Allison… aka Allie, Allie the hair Slayer, Al, Alejandro.
I’m the Owner of Prim & PROPER!!! I cant believe it but we’ve been open 8 years now… even survived 2020!!
I love being an salon owner! This has been my dream since i was a little girl playing “beauty shop” with one grandma and “banker” with the other.
Behind the chair I specialize in gray coverage, lightening, haircutting, extensions and styling.
When not behind the chair you will find my on UNITE TV teaching styling courses, on location doing weddings and photoshoots, training my upcoming stylists, or behind the computer building my brand.
When not working you will most likely find me at a High School Football game watching my daughter dance or a baseball field with my 10 year old son or traveling with my husband and kids.

I love helping my clients reach their hair goals and feel like the best version of themselves! I specialize in Blonding, Balayage, Gray Coverage, and Sew-In Extensions.
I’ve worked at Prim & Proper for 6 years, it really is my second home!
When Im not at the salon, I’m enjoying the married life & loving on my friends and family!

I have been a hairstylist for 18 years now assisted 5 years under a stylist & been in Riverside my whole carrier.
I am one of the original P&P Girls an I have been here 8 years now.
I love what I do & love to make your hair dreams come to life.
I specialize in blondes, balayage, lived in color also men/women cuts. Certified in Hair extensions.
I love the friendship of my clients & thankful for their trust.

I’ve been at Prim & Proper since 2015 and love every second of it.
I’m versatile with hair color and haircuts, but please don’t ask me to do wedding hair.

Hi my name is Carolynn! I’m currently assisting Allison and Krystal behind the chair here at Prim and Proper.
I started working here right after I received my cosmetology license, which was last year.
Everyday I continue to learn and grow here. My favorite thing to do is color and extensions and everything in between.
On my days off I love taking my corgi to the beach and spending time with my family and friends.

PHOEBE MADERA

Hello! I’m Phoebe,
I’ve been working at Prim and Proper Salon since 2021 and I absolutely love this salon! I’ve grown so much in my business since being here. I enjoy working with these great stylists that have become family.
I specialize in blonding, dimensional color, and Bellami sew-in hair extensions. I love transforming my clients hair and seeing their new found confidence is so rewarding.
When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my boyfriend, who is also a hot firefighter! We enjoy attending festivals, spending time in the sun, in the water, going on dates, or socializing with our friends. We also enjoy being couch potatoes at home and relaxing. Anddd… If pink could be the only color that ever existed I would be perfectly fine with that!

Hi! My name is Sarah!
I’ve been living the hair dream for about 12 years now. October will mark 4 years of working at Prim and Proper salon where I have developed great relationships with every individual of my work family.
I continue to learn and grow every year as new techniques and trends are introduced.
I am still just as passionate about hair as when I started. I specialize in color, including blonde, dimensional color, grey coverage & ‘Lived-in’ color.
I will always guide and advise my clients to keep their hair healthy and in good condition with the correct and necessary products, etc.
I am looking forward to continuing my hair journey with my current & new clients.

Hannah Barnette

Hi gorgeous! Im Hannah.
I made my way from Kansas City to the west coast in 2021 where I found Prim and Proper Salon and fell in love!
I have been a licensed and experienced colorist for over 6 years and have continued to stay up to date with my education and hair trends.
I love working with shoulder length to long hair and specialize in natural ‘lived-in’ color as well as balayage and Brazilian blow outs.
If you’re not sure what service suits you I’d love to listen to your goal and come up with maintainable solutions. I am devoted to my clients and dedicated to making them feel and look amazing!
When I am not doing hair I’m spending time with my son and my man, whether that’s hiking, coffee dates, grilling, watching movies I love quality time with family.

Hi! Im Bobby.
Riverside native. I attended RCC cosmetology. I have been a Stylist for 39 years.
I have worked at many salons in Riverside throughout my career. Started out as the assistant manger at Carlton Hair International. Have trained at Vidal Sassoon.
My specialty is Blondes and reds. Although I enjoy all aspects of hairstyling.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, movies, reading and my two Frenchies .

My name is Amber, and I am a passionate hair colorist with 10 years experience. What I’ve come to realize is that this business is all about building trust through relationships with my clients. I genuinely listen and take the time to get to know each person so together we can achieve beautiful results.
Consultations are the heart of my process. Listening and asking questions when I first meet with a potential new client helps me understand true wants and needs so I can introduce solutions. Education is a continuous journey, and I make it a priority to keep up with the latest techniques and refine my craft so I can grow as a hair artist.
I specialize in medium to long hair. I focus on the health and integrity of the hair while enhancing one’s natural given color to deliver both soft, lived in blends and high impact, dimensional contrast.

As the receptionist, I’m the first person you see when you arrive for your appointment and the voice on the other end of the phone when you call the salon.
I love making sure your experience at Prim and Proper is pleasant and the very best!
It is such a pleasure to work with the most amazing, talent team. They all inspire me. So much so that i made the decision in 2021 to attend school and have recently become a licensed esthetician. When not at the salon i am working toward building my skills and business as an esthetician and working hard to accomplish my personal goals. I’ve come to love this industry and can’t get enough of it.

Hi I’m Martha!!
I’ve been doing hair for over 10 years now..I joined Prim and Proper this year and I couldn’t be happier to be here with this amazing team!
I really love and enjoy doing any type of hair but for the most part I specialize in blonding and color! When I’m not doing hair I’m enjoying my kids and husband, we love to have movie nights and dinners! I also enjoy staying active, I like taking walks or even squeeze in a workout when I can.
My passion is being able to make women feel beautiful seeing the end results and their reaction is what makes my job so rewarding!

Rosanna Paredes

Hello my name is Rosanna!
I have many years of experience behind the chair. I’ve worked at Prim and Proper for 2 years.
I specialize in dimensional, lived in color with NBR (Natural Beaded Rows) hair extensions.
My goal is to build trust and a relationship with my clients. I will educate you on all your hair needs.
When I’m not doing hair I’m working on my business, brand, and growing/ training my assistants. I’m super passionate about hair. Always keeping up with education.
On my free time I’m usually socializing with family & friends and pretending to be a professional food critic, trying out a new cocktail, reading a good book, or taking a mini getaway. I’m most proud of my daughters. Most will say I’m solar powered, I’m obsessed with summer and water. I also love a good documentary and my favorite Starbucks drink is The pink drink w/ cold foam, you can’t convince me otherwise.

TRICIA WELCH-PEREZ

Hi I’m Tricia!
I’ve been doing hair for over 20 years and love it. I’ve worked at Prim and Proper since 2021 and love the opportunities I’ve received here to expand my business and grow.
My specialties include color correction, balayage, and hand tied extensions. I am certified in IBE (invisible bead extensions) and get excited every time I am able to give my guests their dream hair.
One of my favorite products right now is Amika Un.done spray because it gives you volume and texture with flexibility.
Out of the salon you can find me spending time with my family and friends. I love to travel, cook, read, dance, and many more things in my free time.

Hi guys! I’m Josselyn!
I’ve been doing hair for about 8 years now. Ive had the pleasure of assisting my good friend Krystal and now I’m taking on my own clients!
I love doing any type of blonding service and some good haircuts! Love doing men’s and children’s haircuts as well.
When I’m not at the salon I’m homeschooling my kids or traveling to new fun places.

Hi I'm Kelly!
I am the face behind Face First Beauty! I'm a licensed esthetician and PMU artist specializing in medical grade corrective skincare treatments and natural microblading.
I've been licensed for 7 years, established Face First Beauty in 2019 and at Prim and Proper hair salon for a little over a year.
If I had to choose, I'd have to say my favorite skin treatment is Hydrafacial.
When I'm not working I love to travel and make memories with my family or do home projects.
